The Remnant

The Remnant is the final book in the Oversight trilogy.  Like the first two books, this one kept the story strong all the way through.  Fletcher concludes this series with a satisfying ending that leaves the reader sad (in a good way) that the adventure is over.

Solid characters with believable motivations bring The Remnant to life.  Fletcher’s detailed settings – aided by historical research – immerse the reader in an 1800s London, England, that feels real.

The Remnant benefits from a bleak tone with heartwarming moments that keep the story from becoming too dark.  It’s a nice balance that Fletcher has mastered in all the Oversight books.  This final installation hints at a new series that will branch off from this tale.  I look forward to it!

A bleak tone buoyed up with heartwarming moments makes Fletcher’s writing addictive.
